Until now, Nizam offered three kinds of complex at setup: apartment buildings, housing societies, and market plazas. Managers of office buildings could still use it, but every screen talked about flats and residents — fine for a block of flats, odd for a business centre full of companies. That made the software feel borrowed, and the people using it noticed.
Today there's a fourth option: Office Complex. It's built for business centres, office towers, corporate buildings, business parks, and the office floors of commercial complexes.
A Fourth Category, Chosen at Setup
When you create a complex, Office Complex now appears next to the other three categories. Pick it, name your building, and set up floors, sections, and office types the same way as any other complex. Office types work like flat types: small office, large office, executive suite, or whatever your building actually rents out, each with its own service-charge rate.
Offices and Companies, Everywhere
The bigger change is what happens after setup. In an office complex, Nizam stops saying "flat" and "resident" anywhere in the app, in all eight supported languages:
- Offices instead of flats: office numbers, office types, "Switch Office", "No offices found".
- Companies instead of residents: a Companies tab, a Companies Directory, company profiles, and company wallets and ledgers.
- Messaging that fits: chat groups, broadcasts, holiday notices, and SOS alerts address companies, staff, and management.
- Reports that fit: receivables aging and collection reports list each office and its company.
- Payment badges become Star, Prime, and Elite Company.
The same applies to market plazas, where the app now talks about shops throughout, and to housing societies, where flat-specific wording becomes houses.
The software should describe your building the way the people in it do. In a business centre, that means offices and companies.

Under the new wording, it's the same platform. Service charges generate automatically each cycle, with due dates and late-payment penalties. Companies pay, raise complaints, and pre-register visitors from their own app. Reception and security log arrivals with photos. Complaints turn into vendor work orders. Staff attendance and payroll, office rentals with owner payouts, and the full GAAP-aligned report suite all work exactly as they do for residential complexes.
Commercial Complexes With Shops and Offices
Many commercial complexes have shops on the ground floors and offices above. If the two are billed and managed separately, set them up as two complexes, one Market Plaza and one Office Complex, and switch between them from a single account. Each complex keeps its own billing, data, and wording.
Office Complex is available now for every new complex on Nizam. Read more on the office building & business centre management page, or start a free month and set up your building today.
